Rosamund is Ella Roberta’s mum and the Co-Founder of the ‘Ella Roberta Family Foundation’ that was set up after the death of her beloved daughter in 2013 from a rare and severe form of asthma. The aim of the Foundation is to improve the lives of children affected by asthma in South East London by raising awareness of asthma, campaigning for better treatment of asthma and campaigning for clean air as it is everyone’s fundamental right to breathe clean air.

Her work at the Ella Roberta Family Foundation is incredibly varied, she raises awareness of the dangers of asthma in young people and their families through education by having assemblies in schools, visiting local community groups and advising health professionals how the general public is able to access better treatment. Rosamund also represents the views of parents with children with asthma to clinicians and decision makers involved in the commissioning or provision of care and services for young people with the condition.
As the Executive Director, she is the person responsible for the day to day operating of the charity. It is extremely important to continue to raise the profile of the Foundation in order that the public are aware of the important work that is carried out to improve Health of everyone living in South East London. An important part of her role is forming partnerships with other bodies who have similar goals. To date they are affiliated to Friends of the Earth, the Republican Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Foundation works very closely with Healthy London Partnership, and are supported by local group the Corbette Estate and in future will be working with the CCG in Lewisham and Children and Young People Healthy Partnership in Lambeth and Southwark.
The Ella Roberta Family Foundation represent the views of parents with children with asthma and clinicians to decision makers involved in the commissioning or provision of care and services for young people with the condition and also build relationships with politicians and policy makers across South East London to influence policy and promote understanding of asthma, clean air and it’s impact. Rosamund engages with young people and their families through social media and consultation, to better represent their views, help create change, and inform and update. Rosamund’s role at the Foundation also involves building relationships with communities and policy makers across South East London to influence policy and promote understanding of asthma and its impact.
