Thank you for your continued support and interest in the Bright Lights Awards Ceremony which is brought to you in partnership with the Royal Air Force, at The Conference Suite, 10 – 24 Thomas Street, West Bromwich, Birmingham, B70 6LY, on Friday 25 October 2024, 6pm – 1am
Since announcing that this magnificent event will take place in Birmingham, we’ve been impressed by the overwhelming interest it has generated! Once again, this will be the perfect opportunity to network and celebrate our achievements amongst our peers, friends, colleagues families, and friends – a unique occasion not to be missed. This is a pioneering, prestigious, initiative which has been borne out of a simple vision; to create an occasion which would honour the very best achievements from African-Caribbean grassroots communities, communities which are often fraught with high levels of social and economic marginalisation.
This event is creating one of our most important annual proceedings, and we’re looking forward to meeting you on the night.

VENUE: The Conference Suite, 10 – 24 Thomas Street, West Bromwich, Birmingham, B70 6LY 6pm – 1am is a highly prestigious and visually impressive 1000-seater venue with exquisite décor and soft carpeting throughout the adjoining halls and beautiful reception area.
TRANSPORT: The Conference Suite is located just a five minute walk from West Bromwich metro and bus station, public transport links and premier hotels.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: You will be pleased to know that there are a number of beautiful, and luxurious local hotels, who are within easy reach of The Conference Suite. Mecure Birmingham West Hotel, Birmingham Road, West Bromwich, B70 6RS, is 0.8 miles. TABLE BOOKINGS: Tables are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis (10 per table).
PAID BAR: As well as a free drinks reception and refreshments on the table, there will be a paid bar with highly experienced bar staff.
AGE RESTRICTIONS: Strict licensing rules requires anyone under 18 years of age to be accompanied by an adult at all times whilst at the venue.
CANCELLATIONS: Refunds can be made up to one week of the event.
DRESS CODE: This is a black tie event. African cultural attire is also welcomed and positively encouraged!
FILMING and PHOTOGRAPHY: Please be advised that filming and photography will take place during the awards ceremony. By attending this event, you consent to being filmed, photographed, and otherwise recorded. This includes, but is not limited to, audio, visual, and video recordings.
