Thank you for your continued support and interest in the inaugural BLAC Awards Ceremony.

There has been a fantastic interest in this magnificent event and will be the perfect opportunity to network and celebrate our achievements amongst our peers, friends, colleagues and families – a unique occasion not to be missed; a pioneering, prestigious initiative which has been almost two years in the planning borne out of a simple vision; to create an occasion which would honour the very best achievements from African-Caribbean communities which are fraught with high levels of social and economic marginalisation, thus creating one of our most important proceedings of its kind to be staged, however, the health, safety, and well-being of our patrons and team members is our utmost priority and we must do the right thing by the communities in which we live and work to help mitigate the spread of the Covid-19. 

Taking into account the most recent UK Government advice regarding the Covid-19 outbreak, and out of concern for all our valued patrons, we have rescheduled the event for Wednesday 9 December 2020.

Not gathering in public spaces is the most logical thing to do and is one of the many ways to curb the spread of this virus. 
 
Due to the pandemic, and after careful advice and consideration, we felt the need to place a temporary pause to the final stage of the nomination process in order to allow people to adapt and adjust to the current heath crisis and will resume the shortlisting in the coming weeks.  We shall continue to keep you updated with our marketing campaigns.
 
The Team are looking forward to meeting you on the night but in the meantime, please take great care of yourself and your loved ones.

This is a perfect opportunity to say a massive “Thank You” to those who make our community such a wonderful place to live, work and study.

The awards begin with a complimentary drinks reception, followed by a three-course meal, entertainment and awards presentation.

Age Restrictions:  Due to strict licensing rules, anyone under 21 years of age will be required to be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Cancellations: We regret refunds cannot be made if tickets are cancelled within 14 days of the event.

Dress code: Although this is a black-tie event, cultural attire is welcomed and positively encouraged!
